Help Shape the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)
Arlington County is updating the CIP, our 10-year plan for building, upgrading, and replacing facilities and infrastructure. With limited funding in the first two years due to economic conditions, the CIP must focus on the most essential needs.
With a top priority of maintaining what we already have, tell us where the County should focus investments in our existing infrastructure by April 23. Your input will be considered as the County Manager develops his proposed CIP.

How is the CIP Different from the Operating Budget?
Every year, the County Board adopts an operating budget, which funds County operations and includes things like each department’s operating costs.
The CIP, adopted separately from the County budget every two years, is a 10-year plan that identifies the County’s major capital investments in facilities and infrastructure.
