| Slide 1: Intro Slide | There is no need for an email on the opening slide. I know it's a pitch deck; you don’t need to say that; it’s a waste of the limited time/attention you have from an investor. Show me what the app looks like, not someone holding a phone with an app I can’t see.
| | Slide 2: Perspective Framer | Strong storytelling slide here. Focusing on one big number to allude to the potential while also being clear about the human element at stake here is what makes this so powerful. | | | Experts Would Invest $100,000 in This Alternative Now | | A new Knight Frank report made an unexpected declaration. | Slide 3: Story | I don’t love this slide. I like the decision to include a story, but you don’t need a slide like this. This slide is a crutch, it’s what you do when you don’t know how to tell a story and need your slides to do it for you.
Remember that you should be able to pitch without your slides. | | Slide 4: Story | Another story slide. Same pros/cons as the last slide. | | Slide 5: Problem | I was concerned with the last two slides they might ignore a problem slide. Instead they perfectly placed one and used the rule of threes to clearly communicate the issues that exist in the market today. | | | | Slide 6: Landscape | This is essentially an attempt to continue to deepen the problem. While that is what you should do here they have done it wrong. They went from pitching a painkiller on the last slide to pitching a vitamin on this slide.
Last slide they were solving a problem, in this slide they are taking advantage of an opportunity that is arising due to Zuckerberg’s law and this new dating/covid landscape. | | Slide 7: Solution | Well done, matches to the problem slide! | | This is a 23-slide deck. We’ve analyzed the opening story and presentation of the problem/solution. If you are interested in the rest of the deck you can access it below. | | | Stop typing prompts.
