Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might. ~Ecclesiastes 9:10 My husband’s company promoted him and relocated us to New York City. Our first order of business was to find a safe, affordable place to live. I refused to live in a cramped and crowded part of the city, so we compromised and agreed to move to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, which was a quiet residential neighborhood in the southwest corner of New York, not far from the illustrious Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. I loved our sixth-floor apartment overlooking the corner park and the Carvel ice-cream. It was removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet two blocks from the R Train subway line that could take us to Penn Station, Central Park, or 34th Street shopping in less than an hour.
