One of the reasons why you’re not excited about your launch (even when it’s going well) is because you’re comparing it to the last launch, Iza.

Because the last launch was a huge success and you exceeded your goal, you expect that this launch should follow the same path. And if it’s not, you start second guessing your entire strategy and wondering if you’re doing something wrong.

This zaps all the energy from your launch and instead of feeling excited to sell your offer, you feel tired and overwhelmed.

So what do you do about it?

First, you need to look at the expectations you had going into this launch. Sometimes without realizing it, we have unspoken expectations about what we should or shouldn’t do based on past performance. You might have set a goal that’s equal to what you achieved last time, but deep down you feel the pressure to do more. This is why I ask my clients to set three goals before their launch – a good goal, a better goal and a best goal. The best goal is meant to feel challenging and really stretch them, while the good goal is meant to feel fun and easy to achieve. This takes some of the pressure off and allows them to have fun going after their goals.

Second, you need to look at why you’re choosing to compare this launch with other launches. Often we do this out of fear that if this launch doesn’t go better than past launches we’ll go “backward” in our business. This is a VERY common belief among women who have seen a lot of success (particularly those around the 6-figure mark). They're so afraid that they’re going to lose it all or that the other shoe will drop.

Ironically, this belief often creates the very reality we were afraid of.

So how do you remove the fear and stop making this launch the end all be all for your business?

Don’t worry – I’m not going to tell you to “manifest” more clients for your program.

Instead, I want you to consider how you need to feel right now in order to follow through on this launch. For example, you may need to feel curious about who else is going to sign up. Or maybe you need to feel safe to give it your all, no matter the outcome. You may need to feel grateful for the people who already bought your program and who you now have the privilege to coach.

Think about what emotion resonates with you and then consider what thought would create that emotion right now. Once you’ve identified that thought, make a list of all the actions you’re going to take for the rest of your launch. Some may be actions you’re already taking – others may be actions you haven’t taken yet.

Of course, this doesn’t mean your brain won’t continue to tell you stories about how this launch stacks up against other launches. When the stories pop into your head, go back to the thought you just created. Eventually that thought will become your default and you won’t be so quick to buy whatever stories your brain is feeding you.

Over the last five years of selling group programs I’ve been through a LOT of launches. I know how to navigate the fears that come up with every launch and how to shift from fear to safety and detachment from needing to reach a certain goal.

If you know that having a coach in your corner would be a huge asset during your next launch, I’d love to chat. I’m opening 2 more spots in my mastermind for women who want to make more sales from their group program during their next launch.

One of the first things we’ll do together is evaluate the results from your last launch to see what worked well and what can be improved for next time. Then we’ll set goals for your next launch and coach on any limiting beliefs that come up around those goals (things like feeling pressure to make more money during your next launch or feeling like the people who didn’t buy last time won’t be interested this time).

I’ll also help you detach from the outcome of your launch so that you can show up and have fun without feeling tied to signing a certain amount of clients or making a certain amount of money.

This is a high touch program with personalized support for the woman who’s ready to enroll more clients during her next launch.
