I got into lifting weights because I hated being fat and weak.

My dad bought a couple sand-filled plastic dumbbells for me and my 2 brothers.

We'd pull these Ikea stools together in the computer room and bench press on them.

(why are these $1000 now? We sold the 8 we had for $5 at a garage sale)

Sadly, it would be another 15 years before I really figured out how to get bigger and stronger...

I'm not the only one.

Look around the gym.

People doing random workouts. Getting sweaty. Hoping something will work.

Even though it’s been years and nothing is changing.

I talked about this in today's video The WORST Muscle Building Mistake Every Guy Makes

Most people never outgrow their first version of “working out.”

You did something in college or your first year in the gym…

and you’ve been running that same play ever since.

Same exercises.
Same weights.
Same circuit.

I started with sand-filled dumbbells and IKEA stools doing random shit.

When I got into a real gym, I kept training the same way.

Which led to years of getting absolutely nowhere with my physique.

Here’s the first step to fixing that:

1. Pick a few exercises you care about

Bench, rows, RDLs, pulldowns, curls.

Whatever muscles you want to grow, pick the moves that target them.

2. Write down your weight + reps

There's nothing more motivating than seeing yourself get stronger.

And more importantly...

if your numbers aren't going up over your next 6 workouts, your body won’t be changing any time soon.

You can use the workout log in my free plan, Forty Minute Physique to track your progress.

It's the magic you've been looking for.
