I
love the sense of community in Bert's neighborhood.
Every time
I visit, I'm struck by how much pride people take in their homes. And
because it's so hilly, my morning walks here are far more challenging than
my usual flat stroll around the marina, which, honestly, is probably
exactly what I need right now.
And this time of year? Pure
magic. Twinkling Christmas lights, joyful decorations, and families
going all out to bring a little extra sparkle to the season.
There's one house in particular that I look forward to every single
morning. They always put on a show, but this year they added the
happiest, enormous abominable snow creature you've ever seen. I swear, he
makes me smile every time I pass him. Just look at this picture, how can you not feel your
heart lift?
As we move into Christmas week, I want to wish you a
wonderful holiday season. May you be surrounded by what matters most: the
people you love, full hearts, good food, good wine, and conversations that
remind you what hope feels like.
Now, here's something I want
to share with you as we begin wrapping up this year…
Making meaningful change, the kind that lasts, has very little to do with
willpower. It's about support. Structure. And having the right tools
at the right moment.
Hoping a new year will be different rarely
makes it so. Approaching it with intention does.
That's
precisely why The Best Year of Your Life
Summit exists.
This online event
brings together world-class teachers like Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield,
Sharon Salzberg, Kristin Neff, Ken Honda, Sue Morter, Marci Shimoff, and
dozens of others - all offering short, practical, life-shifting sessions
you can easily absorb and apply.
Each session is 20-25 minutes,
no overwhelm, no marathon trainings, just real wisdom, simple steps, and
grounded guidance for creating a better year in every area of life: health,
relationships, finances, purpose, and more.
If you're ready to
step into 2026 with clarity and confidence, this is a beautiful place to
start.

Holidays can be incredibly
busy times, decorations and presents and all that delicious food! We spend
so much time focused on creating holiday memories for others. Here’s a moment for
you that lets you spend a few minutes thinking
about what YOU want this year.
Repeat this affirmation during a
quiet moment on your morning walk, or anytime you find yourself rushing
through your day. Let it be a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe, and
take in the small miracles around you, the lights, the smiles, the
unexpected bursts of delight (even in the form of a giant snow
creature!).
“I pause, I notice, and I choose joy with
intention. Every moment of beauty guides me toward the life I'm ready to
create.”
Say it out loud or in your mind, and allow
those words to reconnect you with what truly matters. The more you practice
it, the more naturally you'll begin to shift into intentional living where
clarity, joy, and aligned action become your new baseline.
Here's to joy in the little moments, Nat ~ Mind Movies
