Medicare Current Beneficiary Survey (MCBS) – Annual Updates The 2024 Use of Preventive Care Services Among Medicare Beneficiaries Early Release PUF provides an overview Medicare beneficiaries’ use of preventive care services in 2024, including annual wellness visits and blood pressure screenings. The dataset aggregates information by demographics, presence of chronic conditions, and health status.
The 2024 Vitamin and Dietary Supplement Use Among Medicare Beneficiaries Early Release PUF provides an overview Medicare beneficiaries’ vitamin and dietary supplement use in 2024. It includes information on multivitamin intake as well as the use of specific vitamins and supplements such as vitamin D, calcium, zinc, and saw palmetto. The dataset aggregates information by demographics, presence of chronic conditions, and health status.
Cost Report Public Uses Files – Annual Update The Cost Report PUFs provide user-friendly access to data extracted from the Healthcare Cost Report Information System (HCRIS). Each PUF is organized at the hospital or facility level and includes select measures such as facility characteristics, utilization measures, cost and charge data by cost center, Medicare settlement data, and financial statement data. This release incorporates 2023 data and updates earlier years data for the Hospital Cost Report PUF, the Skilled Nursing Facility Cost Report PUF, and the Home Health Agency Cost Report PUF.
Medicare Telehealth Trends Data – Quarterly Update The Medicare Telehealth Trends Data highlights trends in the use of telehealth services between January 1, 2020, and March 31, 2025. The dataset allows for analysis of telehealth utilization by quarter, state, and various demographic characteristics. This release includes data for Q1 2025.
Medicare Beneficiaries at a Glance Infographic – Annual Update The Medicare Beneficiaries at a Glance Infographic presents a visual summary of key metrics for the Medicare population including information on types of coverage, utilization, average cost for specific services, chronic condition prevalence, beneficiary satisfaction and access to care, and usual source of care. The infographic now includes data for 2023.
Medicare Enrollment – Monthly Updates The Medicare Monthly Enrollment Public Use File and Medicare Enrollment Dashboard present counts of Medicare beneficiaries with hospital/medical coverage and prescription drug coverage by geographic area and now include enrollee counts for August 2025.
