Priscilla Presley accused of hastening Lisa Marie's death for financial gain

Priscilla Presley’s former business partners accused the rock widow of hastening daughter Lisa Marie’s death to secure her own spot atop Elvis’ massive financial kingdom, according to a bombshell lawsuit filed in Los Angeles this week.

Plaintiffs Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko accused Priscilla Presley, the former wife of rock icon Elvis Presley, of fraud, breach of contract and other civil misdeeds in the L.A. County Superior Court action entered on Monday.

Kruse, an auctioneer who specialized in Elvis sales, and Fialko, an Elvis memorabilia collector, said they had been collaborating with the defendants for years to leverage her name for maximum profits.

10-year-old prodigy becomes youngest female to defeat a chess grandmaster

A 10-year-old British girl is full of shocking moves, landing her a spot at the top of the chess world in a historic turn of events this week.

Bodhana Sivanandan became the youngest female player to ever defeat a chess grandmaster this weekend at the 2025 British Chess Championships in Liverpool. Bodhana beat Peter Wells, 60, at the competition’s final on Sunday.

She’s about six months younger than the American who previously held the record in 2019, according to the International Chess Federation.

U.S. composer can't make copyright claim to ‘Baby Shark,' South Korea's top court rules

South Korea’s Supreme Court rejected a 30 million won ($21,600) damage claim Thursday by an American composer who accused a South Korean kids content company of plagiarizing his version of “Baby Shark,” ending a six-year legal battle over the globally popular tune known for its catchy “doo doo doo doo doo doo” hook.

The top court upheld lower court rulings dating back to 2021 and 2023 that found no sufficient grounds to conclude the company, Pinkfong, infringed on Jonathan Wright’s copyright.

Wright, also known as Johnny Only, released his version in 2011, four years before Pinkfong’s, but both were based on a traditional melody popular for years at children’s summer camps in the United States.
