US Department of Labor renews Pennsylvania OSHA Consultation, Upper Bucks County Technical School alliance promoting young worker safety

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration today announced the renewal of its alliance agreement with the Pennsylvania OSHA Consultation Program and Upper Bucks County Technical School to continue health and safety training and education to high school students entering the workforce.

Under the renewed five-year agreement, signed on July 28, 2025, the alliance will develop curricula addressing a range of topics, including hazards in the construction industry – such as falls, being struck by or caught in/between objects, and electrical risks – as well as health care-related hazards, material handling, chemical safety, and the proper use of personal protective equipment.

OSHA’s Alliance Program helps the agency develop working relationships with organizations committed to workplace safety and health. This includes trade and professional associations, labor unions, educational institutions, community and faith-based groups, and government agencies.

Alliance participants work with OSHA to provide workers and employers with information, guidance, and resources to promote safety and health in workplaces. Alliances also ensure that workers know their rights and employers understand their responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
