On June 20, 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the "2025 Marketplace Integrity and Affordability Final Rule," setting standards for the Health Insurance Marketplaces, which connect millions of consumers to Affordable Care Act (ACA) coverage. The rule finalizes additional safeguards to protect consumers from improper enrollments and changes to their health care coverage, as well as establishes standards to ensure the integrity of the ACA Exchanges.
