Join us and start celebrating early at A Hometown Celebration in the Veterans Amphitheater (adjacent to City Hall). The event will feature CRAFTS, GAMES, and FOOD TRUCKS from Fairfax City businesses PLUS a "Hometown Concert" by the award-winning City of Fairfax Band. We hope you will join us at this beloved event!  [Rain venue for the City Band will be the Green Acres Center, 4401 Sideburn Rd., Fairfax City]

"Mother's Helpers" is a vibrant and colorful mural of local forest animals taking part in the recycling effort. A wonderful way to raise awareness and inspire children to take an active role in caring for the environment!  Meet the artist, Jessica Pidcock! (PHOTO SHOWN IS A DETAIL)

The mural was fully funded through the plastic bag tax revenue and is a joint project of The City of Fairfax Environment and Sustainability Division and the Parks & Recreation/Cultural Arts Department.
