As I complete the final newsletter for White Oaks families, I'll take an opportunity to express my gratitude to you for welcoming me as the interim principal, supporting our school, and entrusting us with your children. I am proud of the work the staff has done so far this year. I am confident that our staff and students will continue to thrive under Principal Douds' leadership. We have been very focused on hiring the best candidates during the spring hiring season and I am confident in the future of White Oaks Elementary School. Thank you for your support during this year and your ongoing support for White Oaks in years to come.
Ms. Analia Puig will join White Oaks as our 2024-2025 Family Liaison. Originally from Argentina, Ms. Puig has been in the United States for over 20 years. She has run a business with her family, managed in a law firm, and volunteered to support immigrant families. As she completes training for the Family Liaison role, Ms. Puig will begin meeting with families, coordinating family supports and education sessions. Military families that will PCS this summer or fall are eligible for a free service to assist their students with IEP's that are enrolled in EFMP (Exceptional Family Member Program). This service provides specially trained mentors in special education law and the process to help guide and support families.
