2025-2026 Class Placement and Family Input Form

We are starting to work on our plans for the 2025-2026 school year!  Class placements are an essential component of learning and building community. If you have information that you would like us to consider as we determine placements, please share your input by answering a few questions in the attached form. We know that a good teacher-student match and a productive mix of children are ingredients for success, and we carefully consider each child’s strengths and needs during this process. Please do not request specific teachers, as this does not take into account the many variables we must take into consideration. It is far more valuable to share particular academic or behavioral information.

Completion of this form is optional. If you would like to provide input, you may use this online form or a hard copy may be sent to the office by May 23rd. This is a hard deadline.

Happy National Principal's Day Mrs. Iyer!

Thursday was National Principal's Day and we loved having the opportunity to celebrate Mrs. Iyer!  Mrs. Iyer joined our staff in November and hit the ground running. Thank you Principal Iyer for your commitment to Woodburn. We are excited for the years to come!

Ms. Iyer gives students a high five.

Sprinting Through Spring

This week we kicked off 'Sprinting Through Spring, an attendance initiative. Did you know regular attendance is crucial for the academic success of all students? Studies have proven that students with better attendance records perform better in school and are more likely to graduate high school on time! Attending school even if your student arrives late is valuable to support their success.

Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow. We All Belong Here!

In FCPS, we all belong. From the first day of school, to the last day of school, every child matters. If your student is having a hard time finishing the year strong and attending school, please contact a trusted adult at our school — a teacher, counselor, or administrator. Visit FCPS’ website for more attendance resources.
