A Lion's Tale

M Counts

Greetings Laurel Ridge Families,

This week, several staff members and students engaged in a unique experience.  Shadow-A- Student Day allowed teachers to better understand a student’s experience at Laurel Ridge.  Teachers attended classes and activities with individual students and interviewed students at the end of the day.  This experience provided valuable feedback on the perspective of students and how they engage in learning on a daily basis.  We look forward to doing this again in the fall!

Standard of Learning Assessments begin Monday for grades 3-6.  This is an opportunity for students to show what they know and show how they’ve grown.

Have a wonderful weekend!

AAP Monthly Memo

We were excited to meet with many families in our school community this week to discuss our Local Full-Time program that their students are now eligible for. Every year, more of our students are added to this program, which is so exciting! Don’t forget that the referral window for full-time services is the first day of school until December 15 each year. Families can refer when their student is in 2nd-7th grade, for services to begin the following school year.

auction

Bid for a Cause: Laurel Ridge PTA Online Auction is BACK!

Looking for fun gift ideas? In need of some awesome things to do this summer that will help support LRES and local businesses? Then check out the LRES PTA's Spring 2025 Online Auction! Bidding began last night, and the auction will close on Saturday, May 10th, at 9:00 p.m. Funds raised from this auction will support our PTA's work on behalf of our students, teachers, and school. Our PTA supports many programs and initiatives on campus to support our staff and provide opportunities to our students. We fund teacher supply budgets, departmental mini grants, assemblies, and educational programs. PTA funds school supplies, appreciation activities for our staff, and family fun nights throughout the year. PTA also connects students with innovative programs like the Reflections Arts Recognition program. None of this could be possible without the financial support of our community. Thank you!
