The Principals' Message
Happy Friday, CES Community,
There's a special feeling in the air at CES today – a blend of gratitude and a touch of sadness. Today, we honor Mr. Douds and his remarkable 8-year journey with us. In these past years, each of us holds memories of Mr. Douds: a steady hand of support, shared laughter echoing in the hallways, a smile that brightened our day, or even a quiet check-in or phone call that offered unspoken comfort. Mr. Douds embodies true servant leadership, and the ripples of his influence will continue to spread throughout our community. The vibrant and positive culture he has nurtured here at Centreville is truly unparalleled. During his time here, Mr. Douds began Family Fitness, Green Hour of Power, summer cookouts, family field trips, and so much more! This is not “good-bye,” rather it is just “until next time.”
A Message from Mr. Douds:
What an incredible journey it has been here at CES! Every moment has been a joy, and the honor of serving this remarkable community is something I will always hold dear. I've truly cherished being part of a place where support, collaboration, and a shared commitment to our students flourish. This is a community that deeply values progress, fellowship, and connection.
The past eight years have been an extraordinary chapter of learning, growth, and connection within this truly special school. CES is animated by a dedicated staff who consistently go above and beyond, supportive families who are true partners in education, and the most amazing students whose enthusiasm and boundless curiosity have been a constant source of inspiration.
I have full confidence that Mrs. Forte, as acting principal for the remainder of the year, will continue this wonderful trajectory. Serving the CES community has been a distinct pleasure. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for everything. My time here will be treasured always.
Your Proud Principals,
Josh, Rachel, and Jen

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Screener Results Now Available
Students in grades 3-12 took the SEL Screener during the month of March, providing information on their SEL skills like achieving goals, understanding and managing emotions, establishing and maintaining relationships, and making responsible decisions. The screener also asks students how well their school community makes them feel valued, included, and supported.
Individual student SEL Screener results are now available to families in the Documents section of SIS ParentVUE. For families who do not have an active ParentVUE account, results will be sent via postal mail. For support in understanding your individual student’s results or for ideas on how to support them at home, please review the Family Guide or reach out to our school staff with any questions.
