Greetings Key Families!
This was a week full of celebrations at Key MS! I had the pleasure of seeing several students and families appreciate some truly amazing art work at our Pyramid Art Show Thursday night. On Friday morning, we hosted our final honor roll ceremonies for 7th and 8th graders for this school year; it was a pleasure honoring their hard work and academic success. The excitement continues into the weekend, with our spring production of Game of Tiaras premiering tonight and our second track meet of the season happening tomorrow at Edison HS. We encourage all students and families to come out and support our students in both events! Finally, next week is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! We have plenty in store to show our amazing staff just how grateful we are for their commitment to our students and all the hard work they put in every day to ensure our students have a positive experience at Key MS. If you have an opportunity to send a note of gratitude to your student’s teachers, it would certainly be appreciated by our amazing staff. As I remind our students every day during afternoon announcement, be sure to thank your teachers!
Sincerely,
Drew Campbell

Bell Schedule
We are considering changes to our bell schedule next year and would love to hear from parents and students as we consider the different options. There is a brief form available where you can review the three versions we are considering and provide optional feedback on each. The same form will be available to students next week so we can have their perspective as well. If you would like to preview these options and share any insights you have, we appreciate it and will take your feedback into consideration.

Key MS 3rd Quarter Honor Roll
Thank you to all of the family and friends who came out to support our students at today's 3rd quarter honor roll assembly.
We had a packed house for both 7th and 8th grade assemblies and our students were excited to be recognized for their hard work and success.

SOL Testing Schedule
SOL testing will begin on May 7th. We have made some adjustments to our testing calendar. The updated dates are:
- May 7: Reading 7 & 8
- May 13: Science 8
- May 16: Math (all levels)
Please talk to your students about their upcoming tests, help them study and prepare, and reach out to their teachers if you have any questions about the SOL exam.
Teachers have distributed study resources, and more materials are available on Schoology, if you would like to help your student prepare for their exams. You can also help your student succeed by encouraging them to get a good night’s sleep before each testing day, eating a nutritious breakfast that morning, and putting forth their best effort on the exams. Thank you for your support at home! We are excited to see our students demonstrate all the things they’ve learned this school year.

Pyramid Art Show 2025
The annual Lewis Pyramid Art Show was a huge success. All of the schools in the Lewis Pyramid were well represented by staff, students, and families.
It was a pleasure seeing so many community members at the Lewis Pyramid Art Show yesterday evening. The artworks were beautiful examples of creativity and problem-solving from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Students and families were so proud to see their works included in the exhibition. Surely it will inspire younger students to continue taking art in middle and high school.
Thank you to all of the teachers for all the work you do to empower students to express themselves, and thanks for the efforts to present a joyful exhibition of learning!
Happy Cafeteria Staff Appreciation Day!
Thank you SCA for recognizing our wonderful cafeteria staff.
