Principal’s Message
Happy Friday Wolverine Community!
Faculty Appreciation Week
Monday officially beings Faculty Appreciation. We have many activities next week to honor our amazing Wolverine faculty and staff. Thank you to our wonderful PTSA for hosting this past Wednesday, a tropical lunch in conjunction with Southside 815 Owner, Greg Dushaw. It was an amazing event for all. You will see pictures in the PTSA portion of this newsletter.
Shout Out to our National Honor Society
On Monday April 28, our National Honor Society completed a campus litter clean up and was able to collect numerous bags of trash to help make our campus look even better. Thank you to Ms. Landon and Ms. Rice, NHS Sponsors for getting this going!

We also hosted our first Community Fest at Bucknell Elementary School. The goal is to introduce our Future Wolverines to all the great things waiting for them at West Potomac. Thank you to student leaders Nora Wild and Olivia Clautice for spearheading this project.

Our DECA (Marketing Club) chapter sent two students, Andrea Arnoldi and Isabella Martin to Orlando, Florida. to compete at Nationals. The conference hosts twenty thousand HS students from around the globe. Their Hospitality case study was to help hotels convince youth sports teams to extend their stay by a day and construct a promotional strategy around this campaign. They presented their solution to a judge (after taking a 100 question exam). This was the first time West Potomac has been to Nationals in a decade! We are super proud of the students.
Thank you! Thank you to the entire West Potomac community, students, faculty, staff and families for your patience and flexibility with our new detection scanners. We are a Wolverine family and will take care of each other!
In community,
Jessica Statz, Principal
