Good afternoon families!!
I have received several emails with regards to a 'meet and greet' with our new principal, Ms. Maura Donahue. I am currently coordinating dates with Ms. Donahue for a possible "Principal's Coffee" or an evening "Meet the Principal". Once a date is secured, I will be reaching out with that announcement.
Next week we have our Kindergarten Orientation, as well as our Kindergarten Playdate. Both of those events are on Monday, May 5th. The orientation is at 2:45 in the library (doors open at 2:35) and the playdate is scheduled for 4:05 on the playground. Pop-ice will be shared at the playdate! You can pre-register for the orientation using the links below (it saves you time on entry), but walkups are welcome!
May 12th will be our LAST early closing day for the 2024-2025 school year! I have added a blurb below that includes a QR code and a link. Please use whichever is easiest for you on your device! We appreciate your continued support as we work to account for every student and their safety!

Excellence at a Crossroads: FCPS Budget UpdateThe Fairfax County Board of Supervisors will begin finalizing the budget on Tuesday, May 6. The current advertised budget underfunds FCPS by $150 million.
Without new revenue, such as the meals tax (adding just $2-3 to an average dining bill for a family of four), FCPS will face significant cuts.
