Right from the day she pranced into our house as a puppy, our Border Collie mix, Sneeks, proved to be a character. Quirky, smart, and rebellious, she constantly dreamt up ways to surprise us.
One summer day, I noticed Sneeks standing on the deck that bordered our in-ground pool. Sneeks was dipping a front paw into the pool and pulling the water toward her. The reason for her action became clear when I noticed a tennis ball bobbing in the waves a short distance out from where she stood.
