Dear Sleepy Hollow Families,
We are sliding into the month of May—can you believe the end of the school year is almost here? While summer is around the corner, we’re not quite there yet! Let’s stay focused and committed to maintaining high expectations, making positive choices, and putting forth our best effort every single day.
As the weather warms up, please ensure your child brings a water bottle to school daily. Staying hydrated is important, especially during recess and P.E. classes as we enjoy the beautiful spring sunshine.
Next week, starting May 5th, we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week! We invite you to join us in showing gratitude to our amazing teachers with kind words, thoughtful notes, and special treats. Your support means the world to them.
Let’s finish the school year strong—together!
Thank you for your continued support.
Warm regards,
Principal Vega & Assistant Principal Bermudez

Excellence at a Crossroads: FCPS Budget Update
The current Fairfax County advertised budget underfunds FCPS by $150 million. In only 5 days, the Board of Supervisors will finalize the budget. Without new revenue, such as the meals tax (adding just $2–3 to an average dining bill for a family of four), FCPS will face significant cuts.
